Repairs & Sizing

Q. My Sarah Perlis piece just broke! How do I go about getting it fixed? A. If a piece should need any repair, please call us at 917.655.5747 or email to work out the details for getting it fixed asap! Timing and pricing vary depending on each particular case, which we’re happy to go over with you.

Q: I’m planning to propose but have no clue what my partner’s ring size is. What should I do to make sure the engagement ring fits? A: If possible, ‘borrowing’ a ring that your partner wears on their left index finger and bringing it to our studio or to another local jeweler to get sized would be ideal. If this isn’t a possibility, don’t worry! Over 75% of engagement rings end up getting resized and it is a super quick, easy fix. We can work out an average ring size and should it need resizing, we can do that after we’ve found out the correct size.

Q: I’m placing an order for a ring but do not live in the United States. How do I know what the correct US ring size is? A: You can use this site to figure that out.

Metals, Diamonds & Colored Stones

Q. Where does your gold, platinum, and silver come from? A. All of our metals are 100% recycled and sourced from a local refinery. All scraps, metal dust, bits and pieces are collected in our studio to go back around into the recycling and refining process.

Q. I want to buy a piece of jewelry with diamonds- are they ethically sourced? A. Absolutely! All our diamonds, both faceted and rough cut, are Kimberly Certified and 100% conflict free.

Q: I just got my piece but the stone/s look different than the photo on the website. Why is that? A: Here at our studio, we value the unique individuality of each stone we work with, knowing that since these gems come from the earth no two stones will be exactly alike. Particularly with (but not limited to) rough diamonds, opals, and rose cut gems, each stone is highly distinctive and nearly impossible to replicate. We’ll do our absolute best to deliver your piece looking as close as possible to our model! If you have any specific wishes please contact us directly by calling 917.655.5747 or email.

Custom Jewelry

Q: I saw a ring on your site that I love, but was wondering if it’s possible to make it with a different stone? Different type of metal? A: Absolutely! We love custom projects and are happy to work with you to co-create exactly what it is you’re looking for. Find out exactly how our custom jewelry process works.

Q. I just inherited a piece of jewelry that has beautiful stones but is not my style. Can you help me turn it into something I would wear? A. We love working on custom pieces and can definitely repurpose old stones. Find out exactly how our custom jewelry process works.

Q. I just bought a ring and would like to have it engraved, is that possible? A. We don’t do engraving in-house but work with an incredibly talented engraver who makes it happen for us! Once you’ve placed your order, please call us at 917.655.5747 or email us to discuss custom engraving your piece.

Caring for Your Jewelry

Q. How do I make sure my jewelry stays clean? A. We recommend washing your jewelry with warm, soapy water and a very soft bristled brush. Your piece shouldn’t require any more cleaning than that, but should you want to repolish your jewelry we are happy to do it for you! Please call us at 917.655.5747 or email us to coordinate.

Q. I own a white gold piece of jewelry of yours, but it feels like the color is starting to fade a bit. Why is that, and is there anything I can do to make it bright again? A. In order to make white gold shine brightly, it is commonly plated with rhodium (another bright metal). Over time, the rhodium can fade at which point we recommend sending it to us for a quick replating! Please call us at 917.655.5747 or email us to learn more about this process.

Website

Q: Who made your beautiful website? A. We worked with an awesomely talented group of creative people! Site design by Nataloo, all styled photos by the amazing duo at Ryon:Lockhart Photography, and the stunning Chella Ferrow - NYC based healer, actress and model. A dream team!
